In the dusty town of Gulu, Ajara's disability becomes a metaphor for the life that is falling apart around her. From the cruelty of words to the damage of deeds, her stepfather tries to break her spirit. However, with Ajara's resilience and a little help from her uncle, Ajara discovers that spirit is a hard thing to break.
